The Festival of San Isidro de Labrador
Saint Isidro de Labrador is the Patron Saint of the City of Comalcalco, Tabasco Mexico and is honored on the 14th day of May every year. Although it s primarly a religious ceremony it is also a small town Celebration. It is a spectacle that is not to be missed as the people come from hundreds of miles around Tabasco to celebrate and to carry their offerings to the Church. They parade along Juárez street all the way to the Church which stand at the end of the main through fare. They march in every form possible or in trucks laviously decorated (with their rancho's name emblazoned on banners), in cars, on horseback or simply walking carrying a branch from a large tree with cacao or other offering tied to it. The trucks and other vehicles are laden with fruit, cacao, bananas, plantains, pineapple, Brahma Cattle or other livestock to offer to God's Church. There are trucks filled with towns people from all around the beautiful women in their traditional embroidered blouse and flowers in their hair wave from atop large trucks, throwing beads and candies to the cheering crowds. It is a festive, party atmosphere for 13 days........dancing and frolicking in the streets, night time fireworks, food, drink and music,  a real traditional Tabasqueña event, like only they can do it.

Come party with them, visitors are welcome. Tour Tabasco
