What Clothes to Pack?

Since Villahermosa enjoys a tropical climate with an abundance of Sun and  frequent rainfall, the most adequate clothing would be light thin clothing of cotton, chirts with long sleeves ( to avoid the mosquito bites), thin pants, rain gear, comfortable sandals, athletic shoes and hiking shoes.
Also there are some necessary accesories such as caps, hats and sunglasses.
For visits to Maya Ruins it is advisable to take comfortable water resistant leather shoes and try to cover as much of your body as possible with light clothing, this way you will be more protected from the environment and the posible mosquito bite.
Don't forget to add to your luggage sun block, the highest posible protection level and insect repellant. This is not to dissuade visitors but like all parts of the world there are insects that at times can be a bothersome problem.
