The Sierra
The Sierra region is made up by rivers, mountains, tropical forests, streams and lagoons.With varied flora and fauna. There are caves for the speleologists, rappeling or jungle tourism.
"Las Canicas"  Cave of  Marbles
Spectacular caverns full of little and round stones, made of calcite. To visit it you need to have special equipment and a specialized guide.
The Caves of Coconá
Offer natural caves spectacular and natural cave formations.Cocona has a sound and light show. The cave has 1500 ft. of paths throughout giving easy access.
The Puyacatengo River
One of the 3 rivers in the Teapa municipality. Teapa is surrounded by thick jungle vegetation rivers and mountains. Swimming is allowed and there are many restaurants and vendors to enjoy the regional fare.
"San Ramon" Botanical garden
A beautiful Garden of exotic and regional trees and other botanical wonders. Trails for a relaxing stroll through the marvelous bountiful garden of nature. A wonderful farm house with unusual antiques is also on the property and worth seeing.

Tapijulapa
One of most beautiful and picturesque town in Tabasco, It is located between two rivers. Oxolotán and Amatán. Craftsmen work with wood and mimbre making furniture and other objects.

Villa Luz and the Tomas Garrido Canabal House
Near Tapijulapa, a mystical, place of waterfalls, sulfur waters, caves and lush jungle. A visit to the museum and former home of Tomas Garrido Canabal, ex-governor of Tabasco. Many archeological pieces,handcrafts and  information about the Zoque Maya.


Kolem Já
Chol  for "The Splendor of Water". Group of waterfalls of 600 ft.high, a botanical garden and many trails for ecotourist and adventure activities such as largest Zip line in the world,canopy rides , mountain biking, speleology, rafting, rappeling, photo safaris, camping and so on.

The Cave of The Blind Sardine
Located in Villaluz, this cave is very important for geologists and biologists because of its sulfur formations and the rare blind sardines  and many species of insects and other fish which inhabit the cave.During Easter week, people celebrate with pre-Hispanic dances. "The Blind Sardine Fishing", dedicated to Chac, the Mayan Rain God.

The Oxolotan River
A majestic river that flows down from the mountain range. It is excellent for swimming and it is good for extreme activities, for example, you can practice rafting during the rainy season.Yu-Balcah

Yu-Balcah
An ecological reserve where visitors walk into the jungle and observe many sorts of species of animals in danger of extinction, for instance the howler monkey, the wildcat, etc. This reserve has 8 kilometers of paths, with information hugs and a restaurant that offers typical dishes. Also you can practice camping, tracking, mountain biking, kayaking, canopy, rappel and observe the nature too.

Ex-convent and Museum of Oxolotan
Oxolotan, founded in 1633 by the Franciscan Priests. The ex-convent is the Oxolotan museum on one side of the temple, with interesting colonial pieces, oil-paintings and wooden sculptures

"Agua Blanca" State Park
2,025 hectares of protected jungle flora and fauna. Beautiful roaring waterfalls coming from a cave, forming natural pools in the rocks below. The "Ixta-Já" (Agua Blanca) caves, they are 1-3 level caves of amazing size, trails with light and sound.
